My Christmas

In my last Christmas i was in the house of my sister with my family, for dinner i ate meat with rise, it was so delicious, followed, we talked about many topics for example the summer and other think, next we called by phone to my grandfather he lives in Iquique, all family talked with he.

When twelve come we prayer for all world people, for the family and for our deceased relatives, followed we spent our gift, I don’t give anything because I did not have money but y spent many kisses and love for my family and wrote one letter for my mom with a poem.

My sister gave a gift to my father, this gift was on small bag, my father opened the bag and inside was a little baby socks, and my father asked what is this?, and my sister answer, - dad, I pregnant!,- my sister have 30 years old and she not have any children, this baby is the first children of my sisters. That was a most beautiful surprise and gift of this Christmas, I was very happy, and now all my family is very happy with the new member of the family.

My favorite beach

My favorite beach is Cavancha, located on first region of Chile in the Iquique City, this beaches is one of the most important beaches of the north zone of the country, because, many foreign tourist visit the beach, this tourist are from of Brazil, Argentina, Peru, Bolivia and Colombia, and the beach represent just one attractive of the beautiful Iquique city.

The “Zona Franca” or ZOFRI represent the most important atactive of the city, an the beaches represent one value-added to the tourism of the zone.

The waves on Cavancha beach are not so big, and the sands have a mixture of brown and white colors, besides the municipality invert much money in the image of the beach for example: just four years ago the mayor of Iquique city inaugurated a touristic road, this road have different attractions, one of this atractives are one little zoo around the beach, in this zoo live a family of crocodiles, many deferens spices of fish, and other animals like altiplanic yamas.

In my free time I like play football with my friends of Paine, I like to field to play soccer, my favorite position is forward, because i love to make goals.  I like skateboarding too, because, I can make many tricks on the table, some weekends I go to the skating rink in O´ Higgins Park, but I can’t go all weekends, because I live in Buin and O’Higgins park is very away from my house, for that, some time I can skate on the street or the park of my neighborhood with my friends and my cousin.

Some time I like go to camp just for walk, I go with my girlfriend, that is so romantic and relaxing because in the camp the wind is very clean and  do not have pollution, I like feel the sing of the birds, and smell the flowers, for my this represent a escape of the stress of Santiago, I love Buin for its tranquility, when I walk around the camp I close my eyes and just feel the wind over my hair, then I sit in the shade of a tree for rest.

Song from the past

I like many songs but just few songs make me fell something or make me remember anything special.

One very special song for me is “Navegante” of Eduardo Gatti, well this song make me remember many special moments with my uncle Julian, he dead in 2009 and it was very sad moment for me, the day of funeral my cousin Vicente play that song on the guitar and my sister sing with he, that was a beautiful and so special, because the lyric of the song talk about one travel, but this travel not have a back passage, is an endless travel, one destiny to all people, one day me too travel to that destiny.

When I lisent that song I remember that special moment.

Also  love “navegante” because I like so much Eduardo gatti’s songs, he is a grate artist, one of the best Chilean artist of all the time, and  he was a reference for my musical carrere, actually im a musican, I compose original songs and poems, the influence of Eduardo Gatti, Victor Jara, Manuel Garcia and Violeta parra are very importat for me.

For me one good song must be a complete song, it must have, a good lyric, good music composition and a messaje, the songs without messenger are empty for me

Tom Cruise one on one

My interviewee will be tom cruise because, he is my favorite actor of Hollywood, some movies of tom cruise are, impossible mission, war of the worlds etc…
If I could ask he something, I ask about his life, for example:
What did you do before acting? This question is interesting for me because, he is one example for me and a model to follow, I’m a normal guy, and tom was a normal guy too, why not? One day I could be discovered by a talent scout!!
How was your school life?, I think he was a popular guy, and a very extroverted, maybe he was a victim of bullying or a nerd, this is very interesting because a lot of victims of bullying become a great artist for example lady gaga, who suffers this for years.
Also I will ask he about his Career. which were the beginnings of tom cruise?, I will ask he, the following questions:
What was your first job?, I imagine that was in a little theater or in independent Films, maybe his job was a normal as delivery boy, salesman or any other.
What was your first film, and what represents for you actually? I guess that his first movie was not very popular, but it has a especial meaning for him.

Travel to Iquique

In 2009 summer, I traveled to Iquique, this travel was very important an beautiful for me, because I traveled whit my girlfriend and my family, when arrived to Arturo Merino Benitez airport, my grandfather was waiting for us, and his cars battery ran out, that was funny, one guy charged the battery whit a "bridge".
In that summer we travel from Iquique to many places, for example, we visited Santa Laura’s office, this is an old miner office, located in “Pampa del Tamarugal” 23 kilometers to the east of Iquique city, is was amazing, that night we slept in my grandfather’s house in La Tirana, La Tirana is a little village, on the desert of the first region, but this village have the most important church of the north zone of Chile, on July 16^th , a thousand of people assist to the “day of the Tamarugal virgin”, this is a very important day to the catholic church.
The next morning we wake up early and we traveled to the Pica oasis, this is an osasis located in the desert! Two hours from Iquique by car, we swam on font of hot water, this water sprout from some volcanic sub-terrain caves.
Finally we traveled to Santiago by airplane and arrived two hours later, when I arrived to my house, I felt tired and slept all the day.

down gender differences!!

Are the difference between men an women the result of socialization? if we are enterely socialized different then women can learn how to be like men and compete whith them, a different strategy need to be used to succeed in a male dominated culture.

Women have as many capacity as men, has found that her performance is much better than men, because they are much more methodical and organized than their male peers, our society is not sexist as it was 40 or 20 years ago, At present women perform very well in areas that were previously only reserved for men, for example: navy, army, mining industry, construction industry, important political positions, etc.

50 years ago it was madness to think of a woman president, But is much work remains to be done on gender equality, the salaries and working hours can still be improved.

Personally I do not like sexism, because it only generates differences and confflicts, my girlfriend is studying a career was dominated by men, but now the percentage of women engineers in mining has increased significantly and I agree with her, because these women are pioneers, break prejudices and succeed in our society.

We are all equal, we all have the same rights in any area.

Important holidays in Chile.

in Chile held various important dates, some of holidays are endemyc and some are international, for example may 21th we celebrate the commemoration of the naval battle of Iquique, this date that represents an important passage in the history of chile, another important date in Chile is september 18th because we celebrate the commemoration of the first national governing board, though we Chileans celebrate our independencies on that date, that day does not really correspond to our independence, that is a very peculiar data.

 on September 20th of the last year the navy of Chile held an event of great distinction, similar to the Sept. 18th  parade or " Parada Militar" but with warships, frigates, aircraft and helicopters. This event did not occur grab more than 50 years ago.

September 18th is a very important date because for a  one week we celebrated our "chilenidad", in this week are organized celebrations and parties called "ramadas o fondas in which drinking chicha, dancing cueca, eat barbecue and empanadas. also welcome the "roto chileno" and the "huaso" which are chilean figures.

the other holidays are more standardized because in many other parts of the world are held in the same way however, there are unique events that originate in Chile for example the fireworks of Viña del Mar      spectacle that is seen nearly a million people from around the country and people from abroad.

th las importan holiday in chile ir the Christmas which over the years has lost its true meaning, at this time the people just think to buy and give gifts, for me the real meaning of chirstmas is the family, the love and and the birth of Jesus.

the holidays in chile are varied and differents, for me the real mening of the holidays is healthy fun and and have a nice family time.

Earthquake February 27, 2010

surely one of the most important and disastrous events in the history of chile
I was sleeping, I had gone to bed late after watching the Festival of Viña del Mar, was in the house of my girlfriend, I felt the dogs barking and woke up a couple of minutes before the event, the air felt strange it felt heavy, when I put my head on the pillow starts shaking, worried me out of bed and  take the whole family of my girlfriend at the doorway, try to remain calm and reassure the brother of my girlfriend who is only 9 years

plus she lives without a father, I felt a great responsibility to care for them. was a terrifying experience.
